Sometimes it is the simplest of devices that help keep us safe, and your car's windshield wipers are a great example of this. A relatively simple strip of rubber is what keeps you safe and on the road in wet conditions. But your windshield wipers suffer a lot of abuse and are not meant to be used indefinitely. Like most parts of your vehicle, they need to be replaced when worn out or after reaching a certain age.

Obviously the more often you use your wiper blades, the more often they will need to be replaced. Since the main component of a wiper blade that removes the water is rubber, it can be susceptible to damage from the sun and constant wetting and drying out. This can cause the rubber to chip and crack, leaving large streaks of moisture on your windshield.

Make sure the next time you are out driving when rain hits that your windshield wipers are working correctly and efficiently. We can take a look at your wipers and replace them if needed in our service center here at Lincoln of Englewood in Englewood, NJ.
